The Coats You Need & The Must Have Boots This Fall!

Wrap me up in something warm!

Now that we are starting to feel a slight coolness in the air, it's time to prepare for the fall and winter weather that is coming. The biggest trend we saw all over the runway was the military inspired jacket with a boyfriend cut. Look for double breasted coats that have boxy cut. I found a range of options below so have fun checking them out!

Statement making walks.

Shoes! I can't say enough about the shoe styles this season, I'm in love! Let's start with the sneaker. Look for clean, classic cuts in brands such as Adidas and Puma. I like taking the Adidas classic black stripe (we have seen this on the feet of the top celebrates an models) but since fall is here pack away the black strip and go with the gold stripe. The gold will pair with all you fall hues and brighten up your sneaker style

The mule and loafer. This style has been huge, it's literally everywhere. It's styled with pants, jeans, dresses, you name it they paired a mule with it. The key to the mule style is that it has to be a slide in. (You can check out my older blog post where I tracked down the mule trend and where it began). The next trend is what we call the mule sandal. It has a wide band and a block heel. I like this style because it's very comfortable to walk in.

Rising above the knee....

The over the knee boot. This is one thing I can't wait to style into my fall and winter wardrobe. First off the trend is flattering and elongates the legs. I think the key to this style is to buy a boot that is a suede material. Over the knee is a bold statement and if you wear an all leather boot it might be screaming Julia Roberts from Pretty Women (and we don't want that). So, suede is the key to soften the look. Since it is over the knee I go with a low heel to mid heel to make the look for refined. I found a range of selections below so have fun with this look.
