Making The Part: NWFW HAIR

Drawing The Line.

Wether you prefer your part in the center or off to the side, making a clean line is the statement this fall. If you prefer down the middle make it a perfect straight line. Such as the hair in Ralph Lauren's show (which in my opinion has won the award for best hair this NYFW). Lauren's models had clean lines with a center part. The hair was glowing and had straight style with a slightly tousled texture.

For my side part hair lovers, look to Michael Kors for inspiration this fall. Kors kept with textured look that included volume. When making your side part don't be scared to go bold, inch that line over to create contrast and interest in your hair.

Turning The Volume UP.

One thing we can walk away with this NYFW is that volume is ok, embrace it. Michael Kors had select models with beautiful big curls and Ralph Lauren embraced the same. So if you have tossed curls don't flat iron them to a boring pin straight look. Ann Sui embraced volume to a new level, with extreme bee hive up dos that shined like a honey comb. This look can be recreated for a more everyday look, don't be scared to tease your hair then lightly brush over. Pin the hair half up and there you have it, Ann Sui meet street style.

Crowning Glory

When is comes to hair accessories NYFW showed us elegant embellishments to adore our heads. Of course Marchesa can do no wrong (right). We saw all over the Marchesa models regal touches of hair accessories pinned on the lower side on the head. Rodarte took a different approach with fabric hair accessories. The look was so romantic it was as if it was a scene from Romeo and Juliet.

Below are some similar hair accessories that you can add into your wardrobe.
